Nutrition and Dietary Planning

StudyingAny of you who check my Facebook page will know by now that I am currently studying towards a Nutrition and Dietary Planning qualification – it’s going well and I’m learning a lot. Once qualified I hope to be able to provide more useful advice regarding the food we eat and how it affects our health and, ultimately, I want provide more specialised guidance for anyone with a particular requirement. The course includes modules on nutrition for children, older adults, sportsmen and women and weight management.

Staying motivated with a venture such as this, as many of you will probably appreciate, can be difficult at times – life literally does take over. Work, socialising, daily chores, socialising, sleep, socialising  – well, you get the picture – all leave little time for studying.

A few months ago I responded to a request on a social media chat site from a lady taking a course in Life Coaching. She was looking for some “practice clients” and was offering 6 sessions free of charge in exchange for a written testimonial.

I had no idea what to expect and openly admit that I was a little nervous and quite skeptical leading up to our first session. A few months down the line and my last session done I have to say that I really did benefit a lot! My coach, Claire, really helped me to focus my thoughts, organise my schedule and generally keep me motivated. I really enjoyed our sessions, which felt more like chats between friends, and Claire has even offered me a complimentary session later in the year if I feel I need putting back on track.

Claire is still looking for a few more “guinea-pigs” so, if you feel you might benefit please contact her at – I’m sure she would love to hear from you!

Bye for now!
